MORE ABOUT DAP

Our pre-college workshops for high school students are often described by participants as “Best. Summer. Ever.” Young Artists (who call themselves “Yos”) are surrounded by friends who share their passion and guided by professional instructors who connect them to their creative spark. Our Young Artists learn useful media skills, develop confidence, and find their unique artistic voice. In the evenings when YOs and adults gather in the Sound Stage to reflect on their day, share ideas and see student work, the Young Artists always steal the show!

About our programs: Young Artists’ days are comprised of both classroom and field/location work: lectures and critiques, demonstrations, shooting, editing, writing, computer workflow and studio work, depending on the workshop. All instructors are talented industry professionals as well as experienced educators, and each works with a teaching assistant, providing additional support for their class. The students are busy all day and into the mid-evening hours, attending presentations from visiting master faculty. All Young Artists reside on our campus.

All meals under strict kosher supervision and are taken together. Parents can indicate any special dietary needs upon registration.
